Super Camp Date Update
Supercamp will be on August 15, 2026 this year at CSUB.
Super Camp Details
- 10U / 12U Coaches: Requires online pre-course before attending in-person training.
- 14U / Intermediate Coaches: Packet required at training.
- Full-day class certification requires full attendance and a successful passing score on the exam.
- Parking at CSUB is free.
- Lunch will be provided.
Please bring:
- Bottle of water
- Sunscreen
- Running shoes
- Pencil and paper
- Comfortable clothing

What is Super Camp?
Super Camp is the in-person training event where coaches and referees complete the field training required for certification in their age division or volunteer role. It is an important part of becoming a trained AYSO volunteer.
Who Should Attend?
Super Camp is typically for volunteers who need in-person certification or field training, including:
- 10U Coaches
- 12U Coaches
- 14U / Intermediate Coaches
- Regional Referees
What Volunteers Should Complete Now
While we wait for the new Super Camp date, all head coaches, assistant coaches, referees, and other volunteers should complete the required steps below:
- Complete the online Volunteer Form
- Complete and pass the background check
- Complete the online training for your volunteer role
- Complete any required in-person training when the Super Camp date is announced
How to Register as a Volunteer
- Log in to your Region website and click Register a Volunteer.
- Click View Divisions.
- Select the age group that best fits your role, then click View Selected Opportunities.
- Choose the volunteer role you want, such as Head Coach or Assistant Coach.
- Complete the volunteer form and submit it.
- Watch for an email from Sterling Volunteers within about 24 hours so you can begin your background check.
- When prompted for payment during the background check process, do not pay. Select Will Pay Later. The Region will cover the cost.
How to Register for In-Person Training
Once the new Super Camp event is posted, you will be able to register for your in-person coach or referee course through AYSOU / ETrainU.
- Log in to your Region website.
- Go to My Account, then Volunteer, then AYSOU.
- This will take you to the ETrainU website.
- Click Training Event and search for the appropriate Bakersfield training event once it is posted.
- Select the correct coach or referee course and click Enroll.
- Stay for the full course and complete any required exam in order to receive certification.
Coaching Course Requirements
All coaches must be properly trained for the age division they are coaching.
- 10U Coaches: Must complete the in-person 10U field training.
- 12U Coaches: Must complete the online 12U Coaching Pre-Course and attend the in-person 12U field training.
- 14U / Intermediate Coaches: Must complete the online Intermediate Coaching Pre-Course and attend the in-person 14U field training. 12U training is required first.
Required Online Training
Coaches and referees should complete required online courses in AYSOU / ETrainU before the season starts.

- CDC Concussion Awareness
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest
- Stewards of the Game
- SafeSport (Adults only)
Fingerprinting Requirement
As of January 2024, every coach, referee, volunteer, or player age 18 or older involved with youth sports in California must be fingerprinted. Fingerprinting for AYSO must be completed through an AYSO-approved vendor. Previous fingerprinting from another organization will not be accepted.
