Returning Volunteers
Yearly requirements to keep your volunteer status active with AYSO Region 359.
Returning volunteers must complete a volunteer form each year and make sure all certifications and requirements stay current.
Step 1
Log in to Your AYSO Account and Click the Volunteer Tab
You must complete a volunteer form every year in order to keep your fingerprint verification and volunteer record active.
Step 2
Scroll to the Bottom and Click “Find Volunteer Roles”
This is where returning volunteers can renew their role for the current season and keep their volunteer account active.
Step 3
Choose Your Volunteer Role and Sign In to Complete the Form
Select the volunteer role that applies to you and complete the required form for the new season.
Step 4
Return to the Volunteer Tab and Check Your Certification Status
After registering, go back to your volunteer tab and confirm that your certifications, risk status, and other requirements are current.

Important Notes
- Risk status is your background check completed through Sterling Volunteers. Watch for an email from [email protected].
- Risk status must be renewed about every 15 months. Sterling will usually send an email before it expires.
- Fingerprinting can be completed at California Registration Live Scan, 6720 District Blvd.
- All other training videos and courses can be found by clicking AYSOU to the right of your name under the volunteer tab.
- 6U and 8U coach training can be completed fully online.
- 10U and older coach training is a combination of online and in-person training.
- Referee training also includes both online and in-person training.
Check Your Status
Do not assume your certifications updated automatically. After completing your volunteer form, background check, or training, go back into your volunteer tab and confirm your status is current.
