Region 359 Invitational Tournament Requirements
Please review the requirements below for tournament and playoff eligibility by division.
Regional Invitational playoffs and Area playoffs are not included in player registration fees.
Invitation is not guaranteed simply because requirements have been completed.
10U & 12U Invitational Requirements

Coach must be certified and trained for the specific age level.
- 10U: 10U In-Person Clinic required
- 12U: 12U In-Person Clinic required

Each team must fulfill its referee/official game requirements.
- Each team must provide either 2 volunteer referees to officiate each game, or 1 referee who will officiate 2 games per week.
- Volunteer referees must be Certified Regional Referees.
- Referee volunteers must complete:
- Online volunteer form
- Live Scan
- Background check
- Safe Haven course
- SafeSport course
- Summary of the Laws of the Game
- In-Person Referee course
- Each team is required to officiate 2 games per week.
- Referee points may be made up, but may not be banked.

Each team must fulfill volunteer requirements for Picture Day Fun Day.
- 10U teams: Must provide a basket donation.
- Basket assignments are posted in the coach binder.
- 12U teams: Must provide 1 volunteer for one 2-hour shift.
- Shifts may not be split. One person must complete the full shift.
- 12U check-in times are provided in the coach binder.

Each team is required to have a $300 sponsor to be invited to the end-of-season Regional Tournament.
- Sponsorship must be received by the Region no later than October 24.
14U Invitational Requirements

Coach must be certified and trained for the specific age level.
- 14U: In-Person Intermediate Clinic required

Each team must fulfill its referee/official game requirements.
- Each team must provide either 2 volunteer referees to officiate each game, or 1 referee who will officiate 2 games per week.
- Volunteer referees must be Certified Regional Referees.
- Referee volunteers must complete:
- Online volunteer form
- Live Scan
- Background check
- Safe Haven course
- SafeSport course
- Summary of the Laws of the Game
- In-Person Referee course
- Each team is required to officiate 2 games per week.

16U/19U divisions compete within the AYSO Area 10 program.
- All games count toward the regular season standings.
- There is no Regional playoff or Invitational for 16U/19U.
- These divisions participate in Area play, including travel to Kern County Soccer Park.
- The season ends with an Area Tournament.

- Coaches must first be certified in 14U before attending the Advanced coaching course.
- 16U/19U: In-Person Advanced Clinic required

- Volunteer referees must be Certified Regional Referees.
